Dar al-Salam trains clerics to fight extremism

The Dar al-Salam Organization for Combating the Carrying of Weapons and Arms concluded a training course last Sunday for Muslim clerics entitled ‘’The Role of Islamic Clerics in Combating Extremism and Protecting Human Souls”   The event was sponsored by Yemen’s Ministry of Endowment and Guidance, and the Dutch Ministry of Development.

The event is part the organization’s strategy which seeks to establish 46 courses over the next five years by training 50 Islamic clerics, as well as implementing 29 educational programs for combating religious extremism and the culture of violence and terrorism.
