Director General of the Radio and T.V Corporation Abdullah Ali al-Zalab held talks on Sunday in Jeddah with the head of Radio and T.V institution of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullah Abu Ras over mechanisms of cooperation and coordination among Yemeni and GCC Radio and T.V corporations.
The two sides confirmed the importance of information cooperation after Yemen became a member of the GCC’s Radio and T.V institutions, according to a decision taken at the 29th GCC leader’s summit, held in Muscat last December.
This meeting came on the sidelines of the meetings of the 28th session for the General Assembly, and the 80th meeting of the Executive Council of Radio and T.V Union of Arab countries, currently being held in Jeddah.
It is expected that Abu Ras will visit Sana’a this coming February to discuss the practical implementation procedures of the summit’s decision for Yemen’s admission to the Radio and T.V corporations of the GCC.
