The General Authority for Antiques and Manuscripts (GAAM) revealed on Sunday that a collection of artifacts has been discovered during excavations in one of the archaeological sites in al-Jabin city in Raimah province.
Director General of Raimah’s Antiquities Office, Mahdi al-Qatwi, was quoted by Saba News Agency as saying that the artifacts included a bronze bull’s head and stamps dating backing to the Himyarite era. Al-Qatwi disclosed that the antiques are currently being kept in the Raima Antiquities Office, calling on the GAAM to grant Raimah permission to keep artifacts found there, as it is still a virgin archaeological site.
