Yemeni photographer held in Spirit of Humanity ship in Israel

Al-Jezeera announced that their crew is on board the ship Spirit of Human which was intercepted yesterday by the Israeli admiralty to prevent it from entering Gaze strip.  Al-Jezeera’s head of photography department   is among their crew. 
 

The channel said that among the crew are their correspondent Osman al-Batiri and the Yemeni   photographer Mansour al-Ibi who has been working at the channel internet’s website for seven years.
 

Al Jezeera online reports stated that an Israeli admiralty spokesman announced yesterday afternoon that an Israeli Special Forces had intercepted and gained control of the ship Spirit of Humanity which was carrying human rights activists on their way to Gaza.
 

The Special Forces team stepped on board the ship and controlled it." the spokesman said, yet another military spokesman said that the operation was accomplished without using force. Al-Jezeera Jerusalem correspondent Elias Karaam quoted Israeli sources as saying that the Israeli admiralty is tugging the ship to the Israeli port of Asdod.
