The Yemeni German Friendship Society (YGFS)is seeking to compile one million signatures condemning the kidnapping and killing of foreigners in Sadah.
The General Society’s Supervisor Amin Derhim said that the collection of signatures aims to condemn the unprecedented violence of the act that took place in Saada. The Society’s supervisor said that kidnappings in Yemen used to take place for certain periods and the hostages used to be peacefully released, “however this deplorable action never happened in Yemen before,” the Supervisor said. Dirham went on saying that, “We want to express our feelings towards our German friends who help Yemen freely without any hidden objectives. Following the compilation of the million signatures, delegates of the society will go to Germany to offer condolences to our German friends,” said Derhim.
“Several social dignitaries and the civil society organizations are advocating the signatures’ collection and condemning the terrorist actions,” Dirham said.
