Number of H1N1 cases in Yemen jumps to 921, 13 cases reported dead

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that H1N1 virus cases in Yemen have increased to 921, with 13 cases reported dead.

Dr. Abdulkarim Rasie, said in a news conference that 55 cases are currently being quarantined and treated, whereas 843 cases have recovered.

“The ages of those who died ranges between 9-45, with some of them suffering from chronic diseases or pregnancy,” Dr. Rasie explained.

The Health Minister stressed the importance of a quick medical examination in suspicious symptoms, calling the citizens to follow the protection measures to avoid infection.
