YEMEN - The national team to prepare a report on the conformity of Yemeni legislations with the international anti-corruption conventions discussed here on Sunday stages of the report preparation and what has been achieved so far in this aspect.
In a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Authority for Anti-corruption Balqis Abu Osba, the participants affirmed the need to create a real and practical partnership with all concerned authorities to implement the International Anti-Corruption Convention, including the government institutions, civil society organizations and international organizations.
The legislations study will include reviewing more than 80 laws relating to the international anti-corruption convention.
Abu Osba affirmed the importance of this report, which will highlight the clear and specified indexes in reviewing Yemen’s obligations to the international convention, pointing that the report would identify the national policies aiming to implementation of the convention.
All the Part States in the International Anti-Corruption Convention conduct such reports, not only Yemen, Abu Osba noted.
