The Yemeni Center for Automobiles announced Tuesday that Yemen is not affected by the problems that the Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has called attention to. The TMC called back a number of Toyota vehicles for faulty problems in their accelerator system. The center's Executive Manager Aidros Bazara explained that no cases have appeared in Yemen, adding that the models likely to be affected are Sokoia, and Toyota Avalon 2009 – 2010. Bazara said that the problems are relative to the USA and are related to issues with extremely cold weather.

He emphasized that the center has made field visits and contacts to check the Sokoia and Avalon vehicles, making sure that they are safe and problem free.

Bazara’ ensured that they will communicate with all owners of the mentioned models to examine and replace the required spare parts if necessary.
