The fighting between the Jahm tribe and the Republican Guard Forces in Marib Governorate was settled immediately after the fighting broke out in Saturday the sixth, said the governor of Marib, Naji al-Zaiedy.

The military confrontation happened after Jahm tribesmen seized a Sana’a-bound oil carrier, which made the Republican Guard Forces interfere. “No causalities happened in the fighting except injuries from both sides,” al-Zaiedy confirmed, adding that the security forces are pursuing the ones causing this mess.

BBC has allegedly been informed by local sources that the fighting resulted in killing three soldiers, four tribesmen, and injuring six men from both sides.

The Jahm tribe is said to have blocked the road and seized the oil carrier, protesting against the injuring of one of its men inside a court in Sana’a.

Al-Zaiedy said that the man who shot one of Marib tribes in the court is not known yet. “We had better wait until the investigation is over.”
