A specialized team in Aden has dedicated themselves to examining possible areas within the governorate where the world’s largest national flag could be raised. The Guinness Book of World Records has approved the plans, having signed an agreement with Yemeni citizen Mohammed Yahya al-Faqih as the mind behind the project.
Mohammed al-Faqih has confirmed that he has signed a contract with Guinness, wherein he will design a national flag equivalent to 54,000 square meters in area.
Al-Faqih discussed how the flag would be exhibited in Aden governorate at the end of this year, simultaneous with September Twenty, under the slogan “The Biggest Flag for the Best Home.”
Due to the large nature of the flag, efforts to erect the flag will require the additional assistance of 5,000 Aden citizens.
