Eighteen vocational and technical institutes are going to be equipped and furnished at a cost of $50 million Saudi-funded after 8 international companies– among 21-won the bid announced by the high committee for bids. The Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Engineer Alawi Bafaqeeh, told Saba news agency that the ministry had obtained the approval of the Supreme Committee of tender for the preparational documents of the equipment to the educational and vocational institutes. The multi-international companies include British, Canadian, Sweden, Dutch, Malaysian, Korean, and two Germanies, which also will compete through an international tender to equip and furnish these institutes during the coming days.
Bafaqeeh affirmed that these companies, specialized in supervision and equipment, will select the lists of equipment related to the educational and vocational institute according to the international standards. In addition, they will install the equipment and train the teaching staff as well as analyzing offers and preparing the conventional documents about supervising the supplement of the equipment.
