Minister of Interior Mutahir al-Masri held talks Wednesday with a number of his ministerial counterparts on the sidelines of the 17th round of the Arab Interior Ministers Council currently being held in Tunisia.
Al-Masri met with the Omani Interior Minister Saud bin Ibrahim Al Bousaidi, Moroccan interior Minster Taib Charkaui and Interior Minister of the Palestinian National Authority Said Abu Ali.
During the meetings, al-Masri discussed with his counterparts aspects of cooperation between Yemen and each country in the field of security, combating terrorism and organized crime in addition to a number of security issues of common concern.
MCCM wants to train Yemeni students technically
Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (MCCM) asserted on Wednesday its desire to train Yemeni students in the Yemeni technical and vocational institutes.
During his meeting with the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hajri, the MCCM chairman Ali al-Attas said that the MCCM wants to enhance cooperation with the ministry, adding that Yemen can avail from the programs taught in Malaysia in this regard.
The meeting also addressed the future of cooperative relations between Yemen and Malaysia and means to benefit from the Malaysian experience in the technical and vocational education.
MCCM and Malaysian education institutions are taking part in the Yemeni-Malaysian Festival 2010 which kicked off on Wednesday and will last for four days.
