A fishing boat that  has been lost at the Gulf of Aden with 5 Yemeni fishermen on board, is still missing, said the Lotf al-Barati, the director of the coast guard police in Aden, denying allegation of finding the missing boat about which some local news website reported.
"Helicopter has just return from searching the missing boat at the sea; unfortunately it did not found them," al-Barati said

Coastguard police said the boat moved from Seerah beach, Crater city, to the sea on Thursday for the purpose of fishing but disappeared after that.
The initial information gathered on the boat shows that heavy winds swept it away to a distance of 50-60 nautical miles at sea and then disappeared with no trace.
The Police Coast Guard in Aden in cooperation with local fishermen are launching a search for the missing boat, hoping to find the five fishermen alive.
"The incident is the first of  its kind since 2010," al-Barati added
A ship named "Socotra 1" with 5 sailors on board had disappeared at sea on 24 December last year after sailing from the port of Shahr, carrying food to one of a Yemeni traders to Arkhabeel area, but contact with it after one day of sailing was lost. Coastguard Police thought the ship might have been seized by Somali pirates who earlier in 2010 took away a ship called "al-Mahmood2" and headed towards the Indian Ocean.

On the 24th of December, 2004, three local fishing boats called the (Baghdad, al-pheeza, and al-Ghadeer) were lost while heading toward Abdul-Kori Island, near the island of Socotra in the Arabian Sea. No information was revealed about the boats, but it was attributed to turbulence caused by the earthquake that struck South and Southeast of Asia and caused the deaths of more than (100) thousand people.
