Arab Parliament supports Yemen's initiative

Arab Parliament called, in its first session, which held in Capital of Syria Damascus, Arab Leaders to adopt Yemeni initiative for activating joint Arab action (Union of Arab Countries project) during their scheduled meeting in Libya on the current month.

Arab Parliament has also renewed its position for Yemen Unity and has said that it absolutely rejects any prejudice against it.
Dr. Abdulwahed al-Zandani, the Vice-President of the Arab Parliament and member of Yemeni Parliament, clarified that Arab Parliament talked about Yemeni initiative in the meeting of its political committee and external and National Security considering the Yemeni initiative that it meets the needs of Arab Nation and keens on their interests.

He, moreover, pointed out that the Arab Parliament delegation delivered the file of Yemeni initiative to September Revolution Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi in the end of the last week. The members of the delegation affirmed the support which the Arab Parliament offered demanding to present the initiative in the Arab Summit because of its importance in pushing the joint Arab action and serve the interests of the Arab nation.

Abulhadi Tawaf, the Yemeni Ambassador in Syria, highly valued the members of the Arab Parliament in supporting Yemeni initiative clarifying that the initiative is considered to be as an integral of what projects and enterprises Yemen offered in order to develop joint Arab action.

He, furthermore, confirmed that the adoption of the President Ali Abdullah Salih for the initiative especially during his meeting with the Arab Parliament Committee positively contributed to support and back the initiative at the Arab level.
