Tribesmen have abducted a brother of the head of Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) Esam al-Samawi, the GPC-run almotamar.net reported on Saturday.

According to a source close to the al-Samawis, the tribesmen kidnapped Asem al-Samawi, a director in the Ministry of Public Health and Population, while he was leaving the ministry.

The abduction was carried out by an armed group of the Bani Dhabian tribe from Sana'a governorate after a judgment was issued against a sheikh of Bani Dhabian, who has been convicted of assaulting a plot of land and killing two of its guards.
