Yemen defected army and Islamic militias kill prominent Sheikh and officer in Taiz

The militias of the Islah Islamic party and defected army troopers killed Sheikh Jamal Abdel Wahed al-Sufi and Lt. Muhammad Tahir Sultan al-Sufi in an ambush at Hodhiran district of Taiz governorate on Thursday, said security and local sources from Taiz.

A security source said this operation lunched by the militias of Islah and their allies from the first armor division resulted in killing Sheikh and Lt. Sufi as well as wounding 3 others seriously in addition to damaging the victim’s car.

The security source warned the militias and those who stand behind them of the consequences of going too far in the commission of these crimes against the innocent citizens and men of the armed and security forces. He stressed that the security forces will not stand idly by and will strike with an iron fist anyone who dares himself to undermine the security and stability of the province.
Sheikh and Lt. al-Sufi are among the most loyal figures to president Saleh in Taiz province.

The source added that armed militias of the JMP, led by the Muslim Brotherhood and their allies and their tails resumed terrorist and criminal attacks against citizens and members of the armed and security forces and the public and private enterprises.
A spokesperson of the Joint meeting parties and Islah party denied accountability of killing Shekh and Lt al-Sufi.
In contrary the alleged that the security forces bombed the house of Sheikh Hamood Said al-Mikhlafi in Taiz with more than 40 shells, killing at least 10 of his affiliates.
Sheikh al-Mikhlafi is leading the Islamic militias that have been launching several attacks against security and military personnel in Taiz province.

The source said that these armed militias have on Thursday attacked the building of the Institute of health and TB hospital with shells (RPG) and low rockets from the neighborhood kindergarten and neighborhood of Zaid Almuchki school, and fired indiscriminately in the direction of houses in the neighborhood of Health Institute and al-Thawra wounding 3 of the security men injured, one of them seriously, in addition to seriously wounding a civilian.

The source denied the validity of the news broadcast on al-Jazeera and Suhail TV. channels about the death of a child in the bombing of the security forces, pointing out that the child was killed in the Bab Musa neighborhood that is among the  safe areas where there is no fighting at all, adding that the child was killed in a criminal incident.

The source demanded that the media investigate the credibility and professionalism of work away from the cheap means of subversion, which has become exposed to our people.
