The chairman of al-Aqsa Society, Sheikh Omer Abdullah al-Hatami, called Yemenis to support the campaign launched by the Society in order to support the health projects implemented by the Society in the occupied Palestinian territories, Gaza Strip and the Palestinian camps in the Diaspora.
Al-Hatami said “ the current health situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and refugee camps is alarming. The camps lack necessities of life, the cities are under occupation or blockade and lack the simplest health services, wounded persons are nearly dying and the Palestinians who haven’t yet been martyred by the Israeli bombing will soon be martyred by the lack of health care.”
“ The continuous targeting by the Zionists of the human beings and health infrastructures, requires that all Yemenis share the Palestinians’ wounds and pains, and plant hope in their heart for the Palestinian people to open a window of light into this dark era,” Hatami said in a press release.
He stressed that helping the sick and wounded Palestinians to receive treatment, and alleviating their pain and agony is a goal that Al-Aqsa Society is seeking to achieve by implementing the campaign that coincides with the 64th anniversary of the crisis that led to, taking the Palestinian people away from their lands, and drove them into exile or Diasporas.
Al-Hatami called the Yemenis to create happiness in the life of the wounded, disabled and sick Palestinians, as well as in the life of orphans and families in need ; so that we obtain the honor of assistance and charity medal which the Prophet of humanity (Peace and Blessing be upon him,) mentioned in his saying: “ the best people are those who are most beneficial to others.”
Al-Hatami said that the support of Palestine and Jerusalem is not a charitable or volunteer work, but a religious and moral duty on all the nation’s individuals, groups and vital forces, until the return of the refugees to their homes and the liberation of the whole Palestinian territories.
It is notable that al-Aqsa Society has finished building the first phase of the hospital of the Arabia Felix in Gaza strip. It is the biggest health project that is executed by the Society in Gaza Strip, at a cost of more than $3million.
