Yemen President takes part in funeral of top military commander

Yemen President AbduRaboo Mansour Hadi took part in the funeral of General Omar Barashid in sana’a on Friday.

Director of Command and Staff College at the Defense Ministry, Brig. Gen. Omar Salem Barashid, was killed on Thursday by targeting his car in Mukala city in Hadramout province.

A local source in Hadramaut said to Saba that an improvised explosive device detonated at the car of the College's Director while passing by his car in Bajeman area off the footbridge in Mukalla, explaining that he was taken to Ibn Sina Hospital after suffering serious injuries.

The source pointed out that the investigations are underway to determine the circumstances of the incident and detect the perpetrators.
