Three qat-sellers dead, four injured

IBB - Three qat-sellers died and four others were seriously injured in a car accident last Tuesday, July 1, in Al-Habilain district of Al-Dhale. The accident happened on a turn in the road when the driver lost control of his car due to a combination of faulty brakes and high speed. The car reportedly rolled over three times and was completely destroyed. The land cruiser vehicle was overloaded with twelve qat-sellers and passengers as well as several large bundles of qat.

The dead were from Al-Aqiba district of Faral-Udain. They were qat growers, and were bringing their cash crop from Al-Dhale for sale in Aden.
