In the coming days, the National Sulfur and Tobacco Company will give the people of Kamaran Island transportation buses for school children, in addition to electricity dynamos and machinery for stone-cutting, as well as contributing to other development projects, sources told the Yemen Observer.

The delivery of the buses will be implemented by the General Authority for Development and Improvement of Yemeni Islands with the assistance of local island boards. It is expected that head of the Sulfur and Tobacco Company’s board of administration, Tawfeq Saleh Abdulah, will deliver the donation.

Mr. Yahyia al-Kina’ai, general manger of Yemeni Islands’ Authority, said that this donation will contribute to the well-being of the people who live on the islands. He invited local and regional companies to assist the authority in developing the islands by means of project infrastructure and basic services, which are considered common projects between government and private sector.
