Ba Wazir commemorates Yemen’s revolution in eulogy

The great Yemeni poet and composer, Gunaid Salem Ba Wazir, is currently preparing for two new albums to be released on the occasion of the 14th of October revolution anniversary.

The first album is entitled Passion of Letters and the second album is Echo Sounds to all Ears. Ba Wazir is also preparing for a collaborative project at the regional level, where singers from different Arab countries are expected partake.  However Ba Wazir declined to reveal any more details about this new project but promised to give more in the near future.

Ba Wazir has written many lyrics and composed them for several Yemeni singers living in Yemen and in the Gulf states.

Among the singers he composed for were Hood al-Aidaroos, Nagib Saeed Thabet, Abood Khawajah, Nayef Awadh, and Abdulrahman al-Hadad. 

Ba Wazir was granted many medals and shield of recognition for his distinctive musical and lyrical works. He received the shield of the Ministry of Culture, the shield of Hadramout governorate for his contribution in the al-Baldah festival as well as other prestigious recognitions.
