As part of Yemenia Airways’ annual tradition of honoring its distinguished employees and cooperating travel agents, Yemenia this year held an honorary celebration for its top agents for 2008 in Yemen and Lebanon in the Beirut Hotel, Lebanon. The honorary celebration was attended by several famous Yemeni and Lebanese politicians, writers, journalists and businessmen.
During the ceremony, Yemenia honored 15 travel agents from the Sana’a area, five from other areas in Yemen, six from Lebanon, two cargo agents, and six of Yemenia’s ideal employees in Lebanon. Honorary awards included recognition certificates and shields that were granted to the honored agents and employees.
To mark the occasion, Yemenia also organized a six-day field training visit for the Yemeni agents to acquaint themselves with Lebanon’s cities, tourism facilities, archeological sites and the working apparatus of Middle East Airways and Beirut airport.
Yemenia’s director of the Sana’a area and coordinator of the trip to Lebanon Fahd al-Ariki said that the honoring of this group of agents and ideal employees was in recognition of their great achievements in the area of sales development and for the priority given to Yemenia sales over rival airlines, which is shown through the high portion of Yemenia’s market share when compared to competitors.
