Lufthansa awards Yemeni travel agencies, increases flights

Lufthansa held its 2008 Top Performer award ceremony in the Sheraton Hotel last Sunday, June 28. During the ceremony, Mr. Patrick Borg Hedley, General Manager of Lufthansa Yemen office honored a number of travel agencies presenting them award certificates for the loyalty and support they have given to Lufthansa. In his speech, Mr. Hedley said that the Yemeni market has proven that Lufthansa is their preferred carrier.
 

Lufthansa is proud to have increased its flights from Sana’a to Frankfurt to four times a week with service connecting Yemen to Germany and onwards to a total of 107 destinations in Europe and 23 cities in the US, a route network matched by no other
 

airline in the market. He also thanked the travel agencies for their support.
 

“On behalf of all of us at Lufthansa, I would like to thank you for being our sales and marketing partners,” said Mr. Hedley. Following the speech, awards were handed over to Yemeni travel agencies including Yemen Intercontinental Travel & Tourism, al-Rawhani,
 

Universal Travel, Arabian Peninsula, Murjan Travel & Tourism, Sky Travel, Gulf Towers, Falcon Travel, Apollo Travel, and Regency Travel. A prize draw was also held, including all attendants from all honored travel agencies. Participants expressed happiness about being awarded by Lufthansa and promised more support.
