Sayun radio station, in collaboration with al-Hudaidah radio station will be exchanging radio programs, after a meeting was held last week in Sayun.
The exchange will involve radio series and songs, as to improve the variety and capacity of each other’s radio library. Each station has special programs that tell about the area’s tradition and culture. The programs were chosen to express each location’s characteristics, depicting the unique details and are locally produced. The greater outcome of this exchange is the decision to have several Sayun radio’s programs to be presented in Riyadh’s radio, as part of a series on presenting Yemeni radio in Riyadh. Previously, Riyadh’s radio station presented al-Hudaidah’s radio programs, and invited Yemeni hosts.
In related news, General Corporation for Television and Radio has finished a project of setting up of 12 radio FM stations.
The project - ten stations for the general programs and two stations for Mareb and Shabwah local radios - was implemented by the corporation in cooperation with a German company.
The chairman of the corporation, Abdullah al-Zalab, said that the stations were set up in different regions in the country, adding that such project would contribute to giving radio coverage to all regions of the country.
