MISS USA, Rima Fakih in Doha

Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih, will make her first official visit to the Middle East at the second annual Made in the USA – Qatar 2010 exhibition.  Fakih will spend three days in Qatar, during which she will participate at the Made in the USA Exhibition, and tour the country, meeting with dignitaries and the community.  Fakih is the first Arab-American to be crowned Miss USA®.   

“I am honored to represent the United States of America at this year’s Made in the USA exhibition.  I heard wonderful things about last year’s inaugural event and am confident this year will be even better,” Fakih said.

The second annual Made in the USA – Qatar 2010 exhibition, will take place October 12 - 15, 2010, in Doha, Qatar. This show is a must for American companies looking to showcase their products and/or services in the lucrative Gulf Region. Rashid Al Kuwari, chairman of Doha Enterprises, said, “We are truly honored that Rima chose Qatar as her first official visit to the Middle East.  We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to hosting her.”

On May 16, 2010, during one of the year’s most-watched live television events, a star-studded panel of judges chose Miss Michigan USA, Rima Fakih, as MISS USA® 2010.  Ms. Fakih, 24, is from Dearborn, Michigan.  She is the first Arab-American to be crowned Miss USA®.  She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a minor in Business Administration.  After completing her reign as Miss USA®, she plans to attend law school.  She enjoys traveling, running, dancing, kickboxing and especially likes playing football and watching the NFL.
