The Middle East  Turkish Airlines Regional Director said that their airways started with one weekly flight and now running four flights a week.

Mr. Serkan added that their airlines would like to see daily flights over the skies of Sana’a, in a reference to a daily service between Sana’a and Istanbul.  The Regional Director said that the Middle East Turkish lines’ relations with Yemen are historical,  political and economical.

This announcement came during a Turkish airlines iftar meal for tourist, travel agencies and the Turkish airline agents in Sana’a and other governorates in which distinctive companies and tourist agencies were honored.

The Turkish Ambassador greeted the attendants, thanking them for their response and for attending the Turkish Airlines’ invitation, adding that a breakfast attended by a collective group of brothers and friends, especially the representatives of the Islamic countries is a step in the right direction.

He noted that Turkish Airlines is one of the leading companies in world  aviation. He said that there is interest in Turkish Airlines’s services realized by the weekly flights from Sana’a to Istanbul,   urging Yemenis to visit Turkey to identify with its culture, history and tourist areas that are frequented by millions from all over the world.

A draw was carried out  at the end of the ceremony  for three free tickets from Sana’a to Istanbul which were won by three of the guests at the Iftar ceremony.
