On the occasion of 22 May, the fifteenth anniversary of Yemeni unification, the Post & Postal Savings Corporation has issued three new postage stamps of 30, 60 and 70 rial values, as well as a YR 90 collector's stamp.
The stamps and a memorial postcard are now available at the Collectors Section in the Postage Stamps Department and all post offices throughout the country.
President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Abdulmalik Al-Moalimi, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology initiated the scheme to commemorate the historic day.
Mohammed Ali Morghem, general manager of the corporation, said in his newsletter to the Yemen Observer that the commemorative items will help with the propagation of national symbols.
