The subsidiary conferences of the local councils have concluded their last activity today in the Capital secretariat after all governorates of Yemen finished their sub-conferences successfully. The conferences were characterized with a creative interaction and wide participation to absorb all the political and party parts and leaders of the executive and community work and the local authority. 

These conferences do not just lead to a set of resolutions, recommendations and suggestions which carry an accurate diagnosis of the developmental priorities and challenges represented in every governorate. But, the most outcome of these democratic demonstrations represent values of the national partnership and also confirm the inherent meaning of this partnership whose implications have appeared in positions of all political activities and all mass and popular components towards the various challenges and national concerns.

All are partners in success and failure, which means that all are partners in construction to be also partners in working together to protect the homeland from any negative aspects that are impeding the developmental process. They are also partners in strengthening the sustainable construction and in dealing positively with the upcoming stage. Transition to the local government, with wider jurisdictions, is the most important thing of the next stage. It will be done through smooth progress that will practically contribute to enable local councils to manage their communities’ affairs and to meet their developmental and service requirements according to real mechanisms away from the centralism and its complexities. 

Such a description of the partnership concept, discussed in the sub-conferences of the local councils, was not resulted from a single vision or individual opinions. But it was the result of a series of serious dialogues that had taken place among more than 60.000 participants from the political, intellectual and social elites which were bases of the sub-conferences in all governorates of the Republic.

It is important to be aware that whenever the dialogue was constructive and purposeful, it becomes easier to find solutions. It is also important for all components of the political and party process to benefit from this model, which was represented by the sub-conferences of the local councils. The conferences emphasize the need to deepen the principle of the national partnership in all the national, political and party activities to build the homeland and to ensure its present and future.

We believe that the first step to establish this principle requires to respond and to interact with the calls for dialogue as a civilized option, which allows ideas to address each other away from the ready visions. It also gives an opportunity for these ideas to be discussed away from other some rash ideas that expand gap between the different parties and reflect the negative impacts on the national track and its orientations of development and democracy.

There is no doubt that doors of dialogue are open and it is no longer acceptable to continue exercising some methods of exciting and sterile debate through media in order to poison the political life with some wrong ideas.

Unfortunately, some use media and satellite channels for settling their political accounts with the ruling party through distorting facts, amplifying some incidents and providing a negative image of the homeland. But, those do not harm the government or the ruling party as far as they harm Yemen and its supreme interests by threatening and disrupting the investment projects that could provide many employment opportunities for unemployed young people. Those, who have died conscience, do not realize that promoting lies and encouraging violence lead then to commit a crime against their homeland and its people and to increase suffering of people and their troubles.

We do not know what their interest from their insistence to take this wrong behavior as a way to achieve what they want? They know that what they create and promote of lies is not more than a storm in a teacup and some firecrackers which quickly evaporate in air.

Is it a national and democratic thing for those to harm their homeland which gives them the decent living and provides them with climates of security, freedom, tranquility and serenity? Where are the sensible people who can discourage these idiots and bring them back to the right path to be aware of the fact that the country’s interests are written on red lines where any one is not allowed to negatively reach any of them.
