In its first meeting, the National Dialogue Committee turns from a preparatory committee to a technical one where it approved an official apology to be made by the parties involved in the 94 civil war, and another apology to the people of Sa’adah province and Harf Sufyan (in Amran province) as well as the areas affected by all the parties involved in the six wars since 2004.

I really do not know what is meant by saying official apology! Who should apologize and to whom? What is the form or kind of such an apology? Is it oral or written apology?!

And what do such apologies have to deal with the preparations of the national dialogue? Who requested these apologies and how will they be implemented?

This committee of (apologies) has put itself in  a difficult situation, and entered since the beginning into a Byzantium controversy and  a deaf-blind dialogue. Moreover, it has taken the twisted path with regard to the issue of Sa’adah and the six wars, especially when it approved and decided and further called for the treatment of all victims of the six wars as martyrs!! 

What is meant here by the victims and martyrs are the killed people of the Houthis, not only that, the committee of apologies approved the treatment and compensation of the injured people of the Houthis!!

However, an apology to the Houthis in such a case has come to be required by the authority and the armed forces, considering that those wars six were a historical blunder by (the unjust) State against (the oppressed) movement.

 But the people of  Sa’adah and Harf Sufyan as well as the other areas do not want an apology and all they want is to survive injustice and aggression acted upon them; they want to stop the Houthis attacks against the innocent women and children.

 As for the talk on apologies, it comes upon a request by the Houthis who said they will not participate  in the dialogue unless they receive an official apology for what happened to them during the six wars.

 Now the committee of apologies is responding  to the Houthis request, and making out of these rebels, murderers and outlaws victims, martyrs and right claimants!!

The irony is that the esteemed committee did not appreciate and did have the guts and even credibility to raise a small and simple blame against the Houthis or even alert them to reduce a bit from their hostility that reached one and all!
