Sa’adah Reconstruction Fund prepares for rehabilitation in Bani Hushaish

Engineer Mohammed Abdullah Thabet, Sa’adah Reconstruction Fund Manager ensured that field work will be resumed within the next few weeks in Bani Hushaish for reconstructing 380 of the citizens’ houses which were destroyed during the insurgents’ sedition, as well as rehabilitation of 17 farms and the reconstruction of 6 schools and 3 other institutions.
 
Engineer Thabet added that the reconstruction fund has completed field the survey procedures for all damages caused by the past five wars and the first survey for the devastation caused by the sixth war sparked by the sedition elements in Sa’adah Governorate and Harf Sufyan in Amran Governorate, where the , where the total number of affected public and private facilities amounted to 18 187 houses. 15 015 of these houses are in Sufyan and Sa’adah Directorates.

The fund has currently completed a feasibility study for rehabilitation and reconstruction of all these damaged public and private facilities, adding that the financing, technical studies and engineering planning are all ready and the fund will start construction works in the areas where the natural conditions are suitable for the reconstruction of the private and public constructions for achieving the developmental services.  “Bani Hushaish’s citizens are ready for cooperation with the construction fund for reconstruction. This step is delayed for security reasons despite the area has been calm and secure for a long time, reconstruction should have started a long time ago,” said the Construction Fund Manager.
