The Automotive and Machinery Trading Center the sole agent of Toyota in Yemen launched the 2009 lottery draw for its clients on Wednesday May 13 in its showroom on the 60 street in Sana’a. Hundreds of Toyota clients and citizens attended the draw and the festival that included music, songs and a comic play. The festival started by some songs chanted by the chanting band headed by the popular Yemeni chanter Mohammed al-Syaghi. Then

a draw for precious prizes started. 15 participants won prizes included Sony LCD TVs, Sony video cameras,

HI FI systems, Toshiba laptops and Sony Ericsson mobiles. The winners of the draw had to answer questions about Toyota history and products. Following the draw the attendants enjoyed and laughed at the comic play

performed by the al-Rawdhah theater band. The play focused on Yemeni social problems and a family that intended to purchase a car. The father had to consult his children and friends to advise him what the best brand he could buy. His kids advised him to purchase Toyota because Toyota means Trust, Safety and Warranty. The most interesting part of the play was when one of the father’s kids told his father to ask any little kid of what was the most famous and best car brand. The father picked a child aged 2 years among the attendants and asked him what was the most famous and best car brand. The two years old kid answered “Of course Toyota is the best”. The father’s friends also advised him to purchase Toyota because it is the first sales ranker over the globe. Following entertainment, organizers continued the draw and more participants got more prizes. Finally the festival came to the peak when Mr. Aidrous Bazara, AMTC’s Managing Director, the moment of drawing greatest prize through which the lucky participant would win Toyota Fortuner 2009.

At this moment the announcer asked all participants to prepare their drawing cards. That statement accelerated their hearts beating as each participant hoped he would win the Fortuner while a young kid was stretching his hand to pick the winning drawing card, participants kept staring at him hoping he would pick their numbers. The kid didn’t hesitate and picked one card among hundreds of cards handing it over to the announcer who looked at the winning number and the name of the winner. The announcer went further to get all participants attention and to make the event more interesting when he just announced the number of the winner without saying his name. All participants read their cards numbers.

Within a minute the lucky man from Sana’a raised his card up and said'' it’s me''. The juries compared his half of the drawing card with the one that the kid picked and by then the announcer screamed the winner’s name to be Jameel Saleh Aishan. By then music was played and chanters screamed the happy

Yemeni Mihjirah that is usually being screamed for grooms and prides in their wedding. The winner then shaked hands with the organizers headed by Mr. Aidrous Bazara and took memorial photographs before they all headed to the Toyota Fortuner 2009. The Fortuner was uncovered of its dress to appear in its beautiful white gleaming color and amazing shape.
